About Thango
Hello, my Name is Teacher Thango, and I'm from Johannesburg, South Africa.
For my class rules:
1) Please do not be afraid to make mistakes because they help us learn.
2) If you have any questions, please ask me, your teacher, because I am happy to help you.
I have over two years of language teaching experience and have been working in the fields of physical education and technical skills for over 8 years. I am brimming with ideas and enthusiasm, and I love that, as teachers, we have the opportunity to change someone’s life forever.
Most successful people we know were influenced by a teacher. For instance, Jay Z, Kobe Bryant, and even Warren Buffet were all positively affected by their teachers. I am inspired to make this kind of impact on my students. Our job does not stop at teaching English; we are also coaches and mentors.
Teaching style
I am TEFL certified, and my teaching philosophy centers around fostering an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to take an active role in their education. I believe learning is most effective when students are actively involved, so I incorporate interactive activities, discussions, and hands-on projects to make lessons dynamic and engaging. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
