About Piola
Hello! I’m Piola, a TEFL-certified English tutor from the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I enjoy helping learners become more comfortable using English, especially when it comes to speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, and sentence construction.
Although I’m new to formal online English teaching, my background has given me experience communicating clearly, explaining information, and working with different people. I’m patient, approachable, and always willing to adjust my approach based on a student’s needs and level.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy writing, reading, and learning new things. I hope to create a comfortable space where students can practice English without being afraid of making mistakes.
Teaching style
My teaching style is patient, friendly, and encouraging. I want you to feel comfortable speaking English, even if you are still learning or sometimes make mistakes.
During our lessons, I use simple explanations, examples, repetition, and guided practice to help you understand and remember what you learn. I also adjust the lesson to your level and needs, so we can focus on the areas where you want to improve.
Most importantly, I want you to have plenty of opportunities to speak and participate. You can take your time, ask questions, and try again when something feels difficult.
Let’s learn English step by step and build your confidence together!
