About Idries
I’m Mr. Idries Ma’arij, and I am a certified TESOL instructor. I have
several years of experience teaching children between the ages of 5 to
12. I have also tutored adults in groups and privately in their homes. For
the last 2 years I have held the post of English Lecturer in Saudi Arabia
at the English Gate Academy, in Qassim region. Prior to this post I
taught English at the National Institute of Technology in Jeddah, Saudi
Arabia for three years. My first post was at the University of Ha'il in
Ha'il, Saudi Arabia for nine months. The ages of these students are
from 18 to 40. These are young men that are acquiring skills to be
utilized in the workplace, and English is central to this curriculum. I
firmly believe that the classroom of the future is technology assisted,
and I’d like to be a part of this great change in teaching methodology. I
am computer literate as I use word programs and computer assisted
learning on a daily basis. I’m familiar with software such as Micr

I use a communicative method. Real world scenarios to learn functional English. Whether it's general English to use in society or academic English to use in colleges and institutions, I can assist you. I also have experience with busy executives that use English for business and work.
