About Lou
Hi, I'm Lou from Australia! I'm a TEFL-certified teacher with 8 years of remote work in International HR & Recruitment for startups based in the US, Singapore, and Australia.
I've worked with learners of all ages — from young children to college students. I've taught English online to Japanese children and professionals, mentored student leaders and scholars, and coached students competing in speech contests and storytelling.
I also have a background in theatre — I've performed on stage in plays — which helps me bring energy and expression into lessons. I'm also a former speech contest competitor and winner, so I understand how it feels to speak in front of an audience.
I love creating a calm, happy space where students feel safe to try, make mistakes, and find their own confident voice.

Teaching style
Warm, patient, and interactive. I focus on speaking and confidence — lots of encouragement, real-life examples, games and stories for kids, and practical conversation for teens and adults.
