About Josephine
Hello Everyone! It is so nice to meet you! My name is Josephine, and I am a teacher from the United States. I have spent almost 19 years teaching a number of courses on the high school and college levels including writing, literature, research, speech, and ESL. I have been so privileged to have this job and meet the amazing people I have.
Teaching style
Here are some important details to keep in mind as you decide if I am a fit:
1.) The lesson is not about me. I want you to feel welcomed and encouraged, and I want you to communicate your goals so we can work towards them. Whether it is a free talk lesson or a more formal lesson on everyday English scenarios or business English, I will work hard to help you meet your goals.
2.) I like to use the chat boxes to offer helpful phrases or small pointers as we are speaking. If it is just free talk, I will not do this as much.
3.) I am an encourager and I like to laugh.
4.) I have found that students often learn better and retain more information in smaller lessons, so I am a big proponent of shorter lessons. Often, these little steps are actually big ones!
