About Jerilyn
For the past 26 years, I've taught English to teenagers and adults, and I've loved every minute of it. I've worked in college classrooms, language schools, offices, private homes, and online. I've taught classes with specific objectives to be met, informal conversational sessions, and everything in-between.
I have a Bachelor's in English and years of independent study in language acquisition and linguistics. Additionally, I scored TOEFL Speaking for 12 years as well as taught TOEFL prep.
Finally, I can say that my students have always enjoyed my classes, and I have the references to prove that.

Teaching style
Students can expect a dynamic environment. Acquiring a new language is never easy, so I lighten things up as much as I can. Smiles, playfulness, and sincere interest in each student is an unspoken language I teach when students first enter my class. This helps them to relax in facing the challenging road ahead.
My students can expect lots of conversation. After all, no one takes a language solely to learn its grammar. It's to become conversant in that language.
