About Char
Hi, I’m Char, a native English speaker from the UK. I specialise in helping adult learners improve their confidence, fluency and ability to communicate naturally in English.
I have experience teaching students from B1 to C1 level, including professionals who use English for work, interviews, travel and everyday communication. I particularly enjoy helping students move beyond textbook English and learn the vocabulary, expressions and sentence structures that native speakers actually use.
I’m patient, friendly and attentive, and I enjoy getting to know each student so I can adapt lessons to their individual goals. Outside of teaching, I love travelling, discovering new cultures, wellness and creative projects.
Teaching style
My lessons are structured, practical and focused on real improvement. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals and areas that need the most attention.
We work on speaking, fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar through discussions, targeted exercises and real-life topics. I encourage students to speak as much as possible while I listen carefully for recurring mistakes and help them express their ideas more naturally.
I explain corrections clearly and give students alternative vocabulary and sentence structures they can use immediately. I also review previous language so that new vocabulary isn’t simply learned once and forgotten.
My goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, more natural and able to express themselves more precisely in English.
